Stagwell, a global marketing group, has appointed Sunil John, founder of Asdaa BCW, to lead its new Middle East and North Africa (MENA) office. John’s role as senior advisor will involve enhancing collaboration between local agencies and partners, developing client solutions, and supporting brands aiming for regional and global expansion. With over 70 agencies worldwide, including notable names like Allison, KWT Global, and SKDK, Stagwell’s strategic move underscores its dedication to doubling revenue beyond North America. John, who brings three decades of regional expertise, recently exited his role as president of BCW’s MENA operations. His appointment coincides with Stagwell’s acquisition plans for Riyadh-based Consulum. This new role aligns with Stagwell CEO Mark Penn’s vision of capitalizing on MENA’s significant consumer growth. John’s strategic insight and integrated marketing approach are expected to further deepen Stagwell’s footprint in the region.
