Benjamin Wilson has rejoined JPMorgan Chase & Co. from Guggenheim Securities to lead natural resources-related advisory in North America. Named as the head of energy, power, renewables, and mining mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for the region, Wilson succeeds Andrew Castaldo, who has moved to the role of co-head of mid-cap M&A. Wilson’s return to JPMorgan comes amid a robust M&A environment in the energy sector, marked by significant transactions involving major oil and gas firms like Exxon Mobil and Chevron. During his previous tenure at JPMorgan, Wilson held various roles including M&A banker and head of shareholder engagement. He most recently worked on notable transactions such as EQT Corp.’s combination with Equitrans Midstream Corp. and Diamond Offshore Drilling’s sale to Noble Corp. Wilson will now report to Ben Carpenter and Jay Hofmann, JPMorgan’s co-heads of M&A advisory in North America.
