The Fund provided significant financial support, including a $9.4 million contribution for the North Vancouver acquisition and $5.7 million for the Squamish acquisition. These acquisitions aim to maintain rental affordability below market rates and ensure housing security amidst rising rental costs in the region. Established in 2019, Hiym Housing focuses on building affordable homes for the Squamish Nation people, while Housing Squamish operates to drive housing solutions in the Squamish area.
