Yahoo has announced the appointment of Rob Wilk to the newly created role of Global Head of Consumer Sales. In this capacity, Wilk will oversee sales operations for Yahoo’s diverse range of consumer properties, such as Yahoo Home, Finance, News, Mail, Sports, and Search, in addition to AOL, Engadget, and other brands within Yahoo’s portfolio. Reporting directly to Yahoo CEO Jim Lanzone, Wilk will have the task of building a consumer sales organization to leverage Yahoo’s recent investments and build on existing momentum. Wilk brings extensive experience in digital media advertising, having previously worked in similar roles at Snap, Microsoft, and Foursquare. Wilk, who previously worked at Yahoo, expresses enthusiasm about returning and collaborating with global advertisers to achieve their goals through Yahoo’s premium offerings. He will work closely with Yahoo’s consumer brand managers and Elizabeth Herbst-Brady, Chief Revenue Officer and General Manager of Yahoo DSP. The Yahoo DSP is known for its premium content and omnichannel advertising solutions.
