Moroccan agritech start-up YoLa Fresh has raised $7 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Al Mada Ventures. The round also saw participation from Algebra Ventures, E3 Capital, Janggo Capital, and the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank FMO. YoLa Fresh plans to use the funding to expand its operations beyond Morocco in its mission to address food security challenges and drive economic growth across Africa. The company’s platform connects farmers directly with retailers and food service companies, eliminating middlemen, ensuring transparency, minimizing waste, and increasing incomes for both farmers and retailers. According to co-CEO Larbi Alaoui Belrhiti, the new capital will help expand logistics networks, enhance technology, and empower more farmers to deliver high-quality produce directly to consumers.
